The design process starts with discussing the website with the client and drawing out a basic diagram of the website pages and features. This shows the basic flow of the website and determines the basic number of pages the website will have.

Based on information provided from the client, the designer creates a basic look and feel. A color palette is chosen to complement the colors the company already uses. Mock-ups are presented to the client for approval and layout changes are made before moving on to the next step. No coding is done during this stage.

During this phase of the design process, the mock-ups are turned into fully functioning web pages. Content provided by the client is added to the site. Code is written and all images are saved in a format compatible for viewing on the web. Pages are created with active links and navigation through the site. Customer reviews the website and submits final round of changes. After the changes are made, the website is published on the internet.
